The Patient Led Assessment of Care Environment (PLACE) is an assessment programme that is carried out nationally and annually.
The aim of the programme is to allow patients to be involved in assessing care and recommending improvements.
The first site to be assessed will be the Trafford Ward at North Cambs Hospital, The Park, Wisbech, Cambs, PE13 3AB on February 23 at 10:30am.
The second site will be the Welney Ward, Princess of Wales Hospital, Lynn Road, Ely, Cambridgeshire, CB6 1DN on March 9 at 10:30am.
The third will be the Intermediate Care Centre, City Care Centre, Peterborough City Hospital, Thorpe Road, Peterborough, PE3 6DB on March 28 at 10:30am.
The fourth will be Lord Byron Wards One and Two, Brookfields Hospital, Mill Road, Cambridge City, CB1 3DF on April 11 at 10:30am.
The fifth site is the Cavell Centre, Edith Cavell Campus, Peterborough City Hospital, Bretton Gate, Peterborough PE3 9GZ on April 12 at 10:30am.
The sixth site to be visited is the Ida Darwin Hospital, Fulbourn, Cambridge City, CB21 5EE on April 18 at 10:30am.
You will be looking at:
- Privacy and Dignity
- General condition, appearance and maintenance
- Dementia friendly environment
- Disability friendly environment
Anyone is able to be a patient assessor - you can take part for a full day or half a day.
