Healthwatch Cambridgeshire launch

Healthwatch Cambridgeshire welcomed more than 140 people to its launch event in the St Ives Corn Exchange on Wednesday 10 July 2013.

This included local people, representatives of voluntary and community groups, private sector and NHS providers as well as the commissioners who pay for local services.

At the launch we asked for feedback on our strategic priorities to make sure we are looking at the issues that are important to local people. The comments we got from everyone on the day helped us to shape our strategic plan.

It’s essential that people have confidence in our health and social care services. When people raise concerns or complaints, they help to achieve change for the better and when the people are confident that complaints will be accepted positively as part of a system of learning, that says a great deal about the organisation.
