Health commissioners Fit for the Future draft plan

Fit for the Future picture of websiteOur local health commissioners, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), are required to produce a five year year Sustainability and Transformation Plan.

These are developed jointly by all local NHS organisations, working alongside local authority officers.  Together they commission all health and care services in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

The CCG's Fit for the Future draft plan was submitted to NHS Improvement and NHS England on 30 June 2016.  Its purpose is to:-

  • Improve the quality of services.
  • Encourage and support people to take action to maintain their own health and well-being.
  • Ensure that health and care services are financially sustainable.

The CCG undertook a public consultation to help them develop the draft plan. The next stage involves further conversations with staff, patients and local organisations later in the year.
