Over the last few months, we have started bringing together our activities as local Healthwatch. This includes changing our company name, a combined Board of Directors and financial arrangements.
From 1 October, our staff teams in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough will combine under Sandie’s leadership.
“I’m hugely excited about the opportunity to become Chief Executive of Healthwatch Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
There has been an enormous amount of work done to bring our two organisations together. I want to say a big thank you to our Board, staff team and volunteers for supporting this process. We have got a really great team.
Together, we can build on the successes of our two local Healthwatch to do even more to influence and improve care, encourage honest and open conversations around potential changes, and be a voice for the people of Peterborough and Cambridgeshire."
We are also saying a fond farewell to Angela Burrows, Chief Operating Officer in Peterborough.
Val Moore, Chair, said,
"We would like to say thank you to Angela Burrows, former Chief Operating Officer in Peterborough who has now left our Healthwatch.
As the first Chief Officer of Healthwatch Peterborough, Angela led a number of impressive projects to promote local health and wellbeing services, including receiving national recognition for the work with HMP Peterborough. We wish her well in her future career."
