Hinchingbrooke Hospital is recruiting patient assessors


Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon is looking for people to be Patient Assessors for a day.

The hospital's annual Patient Led Assessment of Care Environment (PLACE) assessment is on Friday 25 October.

And members of the public are invited to assess ward and department areas – and sample hospital food.

Visitors are wanted from 9am to 3pm and will be guided around the site by a member of the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWAFT) which runs the hospital.

You'll be asked to focus on areas such as
• privacy and dignity for patients
• cleanliness
• food
• general building maintenance
• if sites are dementia and disability-friendly.

Training will be provided in the morning and guidance notes will also available if needed. Patient assessors will be offered free parking for car parks 2 and 3. There will also be tea and coffee throughout the day and a choice of food from the patient menu for sampling.
