Volunteer with us
Be the eyes and ears on care in your community
"I love people, which is one of the things I get out of volunteering", says Susan, who is one of our local Healthwatch volunteers.
As a Healthwatch volunteer, Susan often goes out into her local community to talk to local people and find out about their experiences of health and care services.
Our volunteers are people like you who live or work in different parts of Cambridgeshire. You know the place you live and the people in your community. We need your help to talk to more people about Healthwatch and find out what local health and care services are like for them.
Our Community Listener Volunteers help us promote Healthwatch and talk to local people about their experiences.
As a Healthwatch volunteer, you could also apply to take part in our enter and view visits to local health and care services. This is our legal right to visit places that provide publicly funded health or care services. In the last year we have made three different visits to Addenbrooke's and Hinchingbrooke Hospitals. You will need to do extra training before you can join any visits.

How you can apply
Please get in touch with us for a chat if you are interested in being a Community Listener volunteer or want to talk about Enter and View.
To apply for this role, you will need to fill in an application form - but we can always do this with you. You can complete it here online or download a copy of the form below and send it back to us by post or email.
Remember we are not looking at formal qualifications but personal skills like how good you are at listening to people.
For this role we will need you to apply for a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service check - this won't cost you anything and we will help with the paperwork.
