Independent Living Service focus group

Join a focus group and help Cambridgeshire County Council plan what’s needed to help people with health and care needs live independently.

The first Independent Living Site is being planned in Ely. It will offer a self-contained suite — a home for life, that supports you to live your life as independently as possible without having to move if your health and social care needs change.

About the workshops

The Council wants to know what you would like from an Independent Living Service — either now or in the future.

This might include how the suite is laid out and what features you would like it to have, such as height adjusted kitchen units, a wet room and technology to help you do things like open curtains and turn on lights.

They are also interested in the type of social space you would like for meeting up with friends, family and other tenants.
