Celebrating our fantastic Healthwatch volunteers

Volunteers Week 2024 runs from 3-9 June. Here at Healthwatch Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, we would like to mark this occasion by recognising the outstanding and invaluable contribution that our volunteers make to our work.

Thank you to all our volunteers for providing your time, enthusiasm, energy and passion to achieve better health and care provision for all across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Healthwatch could not reach as many people as it does without your efforts.

And here are some personal messages of appreciation from our staff:

And we always encourage anyone with an interest in volunteering to get in touch with us. As part of our celebrations, we will be welcoming our volunteers to a special gathering at the Coneygear Centre in Huntingdon on Saturday 8 June, 10am - 1pm. This will provide an opportunity for them to socialise with our staff and each other and share their ideas and experiences. Family and friends of our volunteers, including children, are welcome to attend.

We offer a variety of volunteering opportunities to suit all backgrounds, skill sets and availability. From Community Listeners to Youthwatch members, Community Researchers and independent members of our Partnership Boards, there are many ways that people can get involved. Activities include supporting local project work, meeting the public at engagement events across the region, and sharing lived experiences to help bring about positive change to services.
