What we are doing to help tackle coronavirus
The government is asking people across the country to stay away from the office, pubs and clubs and stop all non-essential travel and social contact in a bid to slow the spread of COVID-19.
We are cancelling all Healthwatch events including Health and Care Forums for the next 12 weeks.
And all our staff will be working from home – attending online and telephone meetings only.
Our role
Over the next few months, we will be working hard to support local health and care organisations, our people and our communities.
Our Information service will be running as normal. And you will still be able to contact us by telephone, text or online.
Our focus will be on:
- Sharing public messages so people know what they need to do to keep themselves and others safe from coronavirus (covid-19)
- Helping people find the information they need to make choices about their health
- And sharing tips and encouragement on looking after their mental health and wellbeing.
We will be sharing information and advice through our website, social media and e-mail.
Our people
Our Healthwatch’s power is in its people. We will be keeping in regular contact with our volunteers and staff team to support them at this difficult time.
Our Management Team will be reviewing the situation on a daily basis. And we will update our information and advice on covid-19 as the situation develops.
Our Directors will be running their regular meetings online so that they can make sure we can continue to run our Healthwatch safely and support our people.

How have the changes to services due to the coronavirus pandemic affected you?
We can share what you tell us with the people who are planning the local and national response to coronavirus.
This will help them protect people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
