Call for Deaf volunteers to help improve adult social care
We are looking for people from the local Deaf community to work with us to improve health and care for people who have sensory impairments.
Deaf people have often had to fight for equal access to health and care services. Things are getting better - but NHS and other decision makers need to know what services are like for you.
We work with the local councils and the NHS organisations that are providing services, and we work together to improve the health and social care.
The Sensory Impairment Partnership Board has a broad mix of people, but we currently don't have anybody who is Deaf. And we know that we are missing out on the thoughts of the community, and the experiences of the community in making things better.
