Care this Bank Holiday Weekend

Some routine appointments are being postponed this Bank Holiday Monday due to the funeral of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II - but you will be contacted in advance if your care is going to be affected.

If you don't hear from your care provider, then please still attend your appointment as planned. 

Please do remember to cancel any appointments that you are not planning to attend. 

Re-stocking your medicine cabinet

By re-stocking your medicine cabinets, knowing when your GP practice is open and planning ahead for repeat prescriptions, you can ensure you have everything you need ahead of the bank holiday weekend.

You can order your medication using the NHS App, or through your GP practice, which may also have an online service.

Getting help during the Bank Holiday weekend

A&E and 999 remain there for any life-threatening health concerns.

The Urgent Treatment Centre in Peterborough and Minor Injury Units in Doddington and Ely are open this Bank Holiday Weekend. 

Some local Pharmacies may have different opening hours - search ‘find a pharmacy NHS’ to find an open pharmacy near you.

Get help during the Bank Holiday weekend 

If you have booked a COVID-19 vaccination or booster for Monday 19 September at one of the large scale vaccination centres, please do go to your appointment.

The Centres will be open as usual on this bank holiday. There are no walk-in opportunities, other than for those who are immunosuppressed who can walk-in, bringing with them an NHS letter confirming their immunosuppressed status.
