Carers Partnership Board Minutes April 2022 to March 2023

At this meeting we had a talk from Safia Akram from Sue Ryder Hospice who is trying to improve access to hospice services for people from minority ethnic communities. 

In this meeting Tara Mackay gave a presentation on the Carers Strategy Refresh.Victoria Williams gave a presentation on the NHS 111 option 3 Palliative Care update.

This meeting had been planned for 13 September but was postponed followed the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Karen Berkley, Commissioner, spoke about the Advocacy Service for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and listened to people's views about it. This is part of the Council's preparation to go to tender in the near future.

At this meeting the Carers Partnership Board had a presentation and discussion on the results of the annual carers survey.

At this meeting the Carers Partnership Board had an update from Caring Together, Centre 33, and Making Space.  These 3 organisations are delivering the All-Age Carers Service which is commissioned by Cambridgeshire County Council.

At this meeting we had a presentation from the Department of Public Health who are working on the Learning Disability Joint Strategic Needs Assessment.  This document will help health and social care plan for services in the future.
