Carers Partnership Board Minutes April 2023 to March 2024

At this meeting we heard from Amanda Warburton of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Partnership about the work they are doing to provide support for Carers who experience domestic abuse. This included ways in which Carers could be involved in developing this work.

We also had a discussion about how we could better hear the voice of Young Carers at these meetings.

In this meeting we heard from Cambridgeshire County Council about the approaches they are taking to better support Carers.

During this meeting we heard from the Council's about the Care Quality Commission and the way they will be assessing Adult Social Care in the future.

We also heard about the results of the Survey of Adult Carers in England 2023-2024.

At this meeting the Carers Partnership Board had a presentation and discussion the Care Together Project at Cambridgeshire County Council which includes supporting people to set up Community Micro Enterprises to provide support in their area.

At this meeting Peterborough City Council gave a presentation and led a discussion on Domiciliary Care (also known as Care at Home) and the approach being taken to commissioning of these services in Peterborough.

At this meeting we had a further update from Peterborough City Council on the commissioning of Care at Home services.

We also had a presentation and discussion led by Cambridgeshire County Council on the update of the Carers pages on their website.
