Learning Disability Partnership Board Minutes April 2023 to March 2024

This Partnership Board had presentation from Kings College London about a project looking at the support for parents who have learning disabilities who have had their children taken into care.

Graham talked with the Partnership Board about changes that have taken place in the way that people apply for, or renew, their discretionary bus pass. He wanted to know if they had had experienced difficulties, and what steps did the Partnership Board want to take to raise awareness.

The Council's talked to this Partnership Board meeting about the inspection that the Care Quality Commission will be carrying out of Social Care in the future.

At this meeting we remembered Elspeth Jones, Speak Out Leader in Cambridgeshire, who had recently passed away.

We had a presentation from the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care Board about a campaign they would be running on Heart Health.

Graham led a discussion on attending meetings and chairing meetings.

Back in June 2023 Graham led a discussion about changes to the Discretionary Bus Pass scheme. As a result of this Graham invited the Combined Authority of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to talk about the scheme and hear the challenges that people were experiencing.
